Robbery

Another wise comment from Henry Chase:

Young men whenever you are promised $100 at the end of one year, by paying into a "concern" $40, you may be sure that somebody is going to be robbed. All wealth is the result of some person's labor.

It doesn't come out of thin air!  (It also isn't a zero sum game, necessarily, but there's no free lunch in the aggregate.)
